Page revised 20260508 1222 hrs NRA Trainer Credential Fee Structure. NRA Members will pay $40.00 for the first rating and $20.00 for each additional rating. Non-NRA Members will pay $175.00 for the first rating and $40.00 for each additional rating. These fees are usually payable to the NRA every two years to maintain currency. However, members will pay one fee every two years to renew all ratings, not a fee for each rating! These fees are paid directly to the NRA and are NOT included in our fees. Call us at 575-985-5555 to Join the NRA! Please call at least one week prior to registering for any courses. Courses that require an NRA Trainer Credential Fee include Range Safety Officer, Chief Range Safety Officer, any instructor course and any coach school.
NRA COURSES THAT DO NOT HAVE A LIVE FIRE COMPONENT ARE: NRA BASIC INSTRUCTOR TRAINING (BIT), NRA RANGE SAFETY OFFICER (RSO), NRA CHIEF RANGE SAFETY OFFICER (CRSO), NRA/USA SHOOTING/CMP SMALL BORE AND AIR RIFLE COACH (RC), NRA/USA SHOOTING/CMP PISTOL COACH (PC) AND NRA/USA SHOOTING/CMP HIGH POWER RIFLE COACH (HPRC).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUR SERIES OF CLASSES FROM JUNE 20 - July 2, 2026, HELD IN BRAINTREE, MASSACHUSETTS NOTE: Click on the HOME link and see the page about our instructors to know what movies you need to watch to understand the HPCC instructor's movie quotes and references!
Please call 575-985-5555 with any questions, or email training@highplainsconcealedcarry.com. Our goal when we travel from Clovis, NM to offer classes is to do that as affordably as possible for our students. Obviously, the more students in a class, the more affordably we can offer these classes. Our goal each time we do this is to cover our expenses with a little extra to allow our instructor cadre to enjoy some of what the area has to offer. We do not need to make a huge profit. High Plains Concealed Carry L.L.P. (HPCC) is offering several classes in June 2026 in Braintree, Massachusetts. All the registration links are at the bottom of this page. NOTE: HPCC requires a minimum of four or more registered candidates who have paid the course, or school, or class deposit to conduct any course, or school, or class. HPCC is limiting each class at this location to a maximum of twelve candidates.
The deposit for each course, or school, or class will be due once a course, or school, or class has a minimum of four students registered. However, registration for each course, or school, or class will close no later than 4 weeks prior to the respective start date. If by the registration close date, the course, or school, or class does not have a minimum of four registered candidates, the course, or school, or class will be cancelled, or will be rescheduled to a later date, and no deposits will be collected. HPCC reserves the right to cancel any course, or any school, or any class at HPCC's discretion and will refund any deposits. Refunds are not offered to no-show candidates. Reschedules are very challenging and are not guaranteed. The remaining balance for any and all courses and/or classes a candidate has signed up for, and who has paid the deposit for, will be collected on the morning of the first day of the first class a candidate attends.
NRA student materials are included with the fee for all courses, schools, and classes and will be provided to each paid candidate. The fees payable to HPCC for training includes required live fire range time and coaching; this is when any NRA live fire qualification for a class/school/course will be attempted. Candidates should bring a .22 rifle with open, or iron sights and sufficient ammunition to fire the required qualification for the Basic Rifle Class and for the Rifle Instructor class. HPCC will bring loaner rifles for the .22 qualifications that are very conducive to these courses of fire, you supply your .22 ammo.
Candidates should bring a .22 caliber pistol with open, or iron sights and sufficient ammunition to fire the required qualification for the Basic Pistol class and for the Pistol Instructor class. HPCC will bring loaner pistols for the .22 qualifications that are very conducive to these courses of fire, you supply your .22 ammo. NOTE: NRA allows optics, but we do not allow optics. Call us (575-985-5555) to discuss why we strongly suggest iron, or open sights and why that could be a significant advantage to you. All firearms and ammunition must meet the approval of the HPCC training team. All firing ranges must meet the approval of the HPCC CRSO team. This is not exact, but in general the .22 prequals look like this:
Pistol Instructor candidates, among other requirements, will need to be able to shoot a twenty shot, slow fire, six-inch group at fifteen yards, standing, unsupported, with open or iron sights, no optics, using as many hands as you would like. Other requirements are things like demonstrating impeccable firearm safety standards while handling firearms and firearm simulators Each class also has a written evaluation.
Rifle Instructor candidates, among other requirements, will need to be able to shoot a twenty shot, slow fire, four and a half-inch group at twenty-five yards, standing, unsupported, with open or iron sights, no optics, using as many hands as you would like. Other requirements are things like demonstrating impeccable firearm safety standards while handling firearms and firearm simulators Each class also has a written evaluation. If for any reason you currently have any trouble shooting these qualifications, do not worry! You are hiring us to train you to be able to shoot these qualifications if you attend any of our basic classes. You are hiring us to train you to be able to teach others to be able to shoot these qualifications if you attend any of our instructor classes! While we cannot guarantee you will be able to shoot the mandatory prequalification courses of fire after our instruction, nor do we offer any money back if we are unable to teach you how to shoot these qualifications, we are highly successful at teaching candidates to be able to shoot these qualifications! If you do it the way we will train you, the way the NRA wants us to train you, you should be fine!
We suggest you go to the range and see if you can currently shoot at the level of these quals, or better. If you are having any difficulty at all, come to class with an open mind and we will do our best to help you make it happen! We are very proud of our track record of getting people able to shoot these qualifications. We are also very proud of our track record of taking shooters who are highly accomplished marksmen and decreasing their group sizes too! Contact us at O 575-985-5555, C 413-626-7778, or training@highplainsconcealedcarry.com to discuss preparing for each shooting qualification, and to answer any questions regarding allowed firearms.
