The fee paid to HPCC will not cover any fees due to NRA to complete each candidate’s registration as an instructor, RSO, or CRSO. These fees are usually payable to the NRA every two years. IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SOME OF THE DIFFERENT SERIES OF COURSES WE HAVE COMMING UP IN CLOVIS, NM
We offer several different firearms training courses and instructor courses. We schedule trainings in what we believe is a logical series of courses and candidate development. We designed these series to give a candidate a comprehensive background along with the associated certifications as time efficiently and cost effectively as we can!
The standard series we offer for National Rifle Association (NRA) Pistol Instructor qualification looks like this:
The following fees are for classes held in Clovis, NM. The following fees include all NRA specified student materials. NRA textbooks can be as much as $80.00 each with tax and shipping. The following prices do not include firearms, ammunition, personal protective equipment, shooting garments and range fees. The instructor classes have a live fire prerequisite conducted under the supervision of our staff. The basic classes have a live fire component conducted under the supervision of our staff. We do offer classes where we provide all the materials, equipment, range time, firearms and ammunition for additional fees. The following fees do not include credentialing feed due to the NRA to issue some certificates, and to maintain currency. NRA members pay significantly less.
NRA Basic Pistol, usually a one-day class, plus the mandatory live fire. $299.00 for private lessons. $199.00 each for two candidates. $149.99 each for three candidates. $129.99 each for four candidates.
NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO), usually a one-day class. $299.00 for private lessons. $199.00 each for two candidates. $149.00 each for three candidates. $129.00 each for four candidates.

The NRA requires a minimum of four instructor candidates to be able to conduct an instructor class. This is for the benefit of the instructor candidate. $249.99 each for four candidates. $229.00 each for five students. $199.00 each for six or more candidates.
NRA/USA Shooting/Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Level 1 Pistol Coach school, usually a two, or three-day class. The NRA Coach Certification is also honored by USA Shooting and the CMP! $599.00 for private lessons held in Clovis, NM. $399.00 each for two students. $349.00 each for three students. $299.00 each for four or more students. FYI, the books for these classes are approximately $85.00 per candidate with tax and shipping.
If a candidate were to attend all five classes as a series, the total number of full training days could be reduced to seven, or possibly six full days while providing a comprehensive educational experience for each candidate!
A candidate who successfully completes the series may be certified as an NRA Range Safety Officer, an NRA Pistol Instructor and an NRA/USA Shooting/CMP L1 Marksmanship Coach once the candidate completes the process with the NRA and pays the NRA credentialing fees. Candidates who complete this series will be overqualified to apply to become CCW/CWL/LTC instructors for approximately twenty-five states; states may have additional requirements for potential instructors.

Candidates will need to register for each individual class in the desired series.
