NRA Members will pay $40.00 for the first rating and $20.00 for each additional rating.
Non-NRA Members will pay $175.00 for the first rating and $40.00 for each additional rating. These fees are usually payable to the NRA every two years to maintain currency. However, members will pay one fee every two years to renew all ratings; not a fee for each rating! Call us to Join the NRA.

NOTE: All candidates for any instructor class must first take and successfully complete the basic class at level 4. The NRA Annual Convention is April 16 - 19, 2026 in Huston, TX. If you have never been to an NRA Annual Convention, you should see one! The Rifle series is from April 20, 2026 - April 28, 2026, includes NRA Basic Rifle (BR), NRA RSO, NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) (usually included with an instructor course), NRA Rifle Instructor (RI), NRA/USA Shooting/CMP Level I Rifle Coach (RC), and Chief RSO (CRSO). The fee for these six classes individually is $1,900.00. These six classes are offered as a series for a discounted price of $1,599.00. This series will be presented over nine consecutive days. The Pistol Series will be NRA Basic Pistol (BP), RSO, and NRA Pistol Instructor (PI) including NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT). This series will be offered over five consecutive days. All candidates will be required to attend all four classes presented over five consecutive days to receive the discounted pricing. The total fee for this pistol series will be $899.00. NOTE: All candidates for any instructor class must first take and successfully complete the basic class at level 4. The fee to attend both series is $2,700.00. This fee will be reduced by an additional $300.00 to a combined total of $2,400.00 for anyone who pays for, attends and completes this Rifle series of classes and this Pistol series of classes. This amount will include all books and materials. This amount will not cover any fees due to NRA to complete registration as an instructor, or as a Coach, or as an RSO.
HPCC is limiting each class to a maximum of twelve candidates.
Registration for each series will close no later than 3 weeks prior to the series start date. If by the registration close date, the series does not have four registered candidates, the series will be cancelled, and no deposits will be collected.
When each series has four registered candidates, the deposit for each series will be due. The deposit will be $300.00 per candidate for each series and will only be refundable if the series is cancelled by HPCC due to extreme circumstances, or other reasons the HPCC training team deems the classes should be cancelled. The remaining balance will be collected on the morning of the first day of each series. Refunds are not provided for no-shows.
NRA required student materials are included with the fee for classes and will be provided to each candidate. The fee for each series of classes includes one live fire range session lasting two hours; this is when the NRA live fire qualification will be attempted. Any candidate requiring additional range time, or range days to shoot the NRA required qualification will be responsible for paying any additional range fees and ammunition.

We have loaner pistols and rifles available that are very conducive to these qualification courses of fire.
