Our goal when we travel from Clovis, NM to offer classes is to do that as affordably as possible for our students. Obviously, the more students in a class, the more affordably we can offer these classes. Our goal each time we do this is to cover our expenses with a little left over to allow our instructors to enjoy what the location has to offer. We do not need to make a huge profit.
High Plains Concealed Carry (HPCC) is offering an extremely comprehensive series of classes in Joplin.
The Pistol series includes BP, RSO, PI with BIT and CRSO. The Rifle series includes BR and RI without BIT. The Coach series will include three Coach schools for NRA, USA Shooting and CMP Level 1 Coach certification. One school for Small Bore Rifle and Air Rifle Coach, then a school for Pistol Coach, then a school for High Power Rifle Coach.
The total fee for the rifle series will be discounted from $3,200.00 to $2,200.00 for candidates who complete the full series. This amount will include student books and materials. This amount will not cover any fees due to NRA to complete each candidate’s registration as an instructor, RSO, or coach. YOU MUST HAVE AND USE YOUR NRA MEMBERSHIP NUMBER WHEN YOU REGISTER FOR EACH CLASS, OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE $175.00 AND THEN $40.00 INSTEAD OF THE $40.00 and then the $20.00!
HPCC requires a minimum of 4 registered candidates who have paid the class deposit to conduct either series of classes. HPCC is limiting each class to a maximum of ten candidates.
The deposit for classes will be collected once a class has a minimum of four students registered. Other candidates can sign up for classes without signing up for the full series, but those candidates will be charged the NRA website advertised price for each of those specific classes; those deposits will be subject to the same refund restrictions of the rest of the series. Regardless of how many candidates sign up for individual classes, HPCC will need a minimum of four candidates for each class in a series to put the series on, with some exceptions. When each class has four registered candidates, the deposit for each class will be due. Deposits will only be refundable if the series is cancelled by HPCC due to extreme circumstances, or other reasons the HPCC training team deems the classes should be cancelled. Deposits will not be refunded for no-shows. The entire remaining balance will be collected on the morning of the first day of the first class a candidate is registered for.
NRA student materials are included with the fee for classes and will be provided to each candidate. The fee for classes that have a live fire requirement will include one session lasting two hours of live fire range time and coaching; this is when the NRA live fire qualification for each instructor class will be attempted. Any candidate requiring additional range time, or range days to shoot the NRA required qualification will be responsible for paying any additional range fees and will be required to provide any additional ammunition needed to qualify.
Candidates should consider bringing a .22 pistol with open, or iron sights and sufficient ammunition to fire the required qualification for the pistol series of classes. Candidates will bring a .22 caliber rifle with open, or iron sights and sufficient ammunition to fire the required qualification for the rifle series of classes. All firearms and ammunition must meet the approval of the HPCC training team. Basically, the shooting qual for PI is a 6-inch group at 15 yards, standing, unsupported, using as many hands as you have. HPCC requires open sights, no optics. Basically, the shooting qual for RI is a 4-inch group at 25 yards, standing, unsupported, using as many hands as you have. HPCC requires open sights, no optics. We have loaner pistols and rifles available that are very conducive to these qualification courses of fire.
