High Plains Concealed Carry, L.L.P. (HPCC) is offering five classes in Laughlin, NV as part of the process to prepare candidates to apply to become NV CCW Instructors!

NOTE 3: All course prices include all NRA, or other governing organization's mandated materials. All our course prices do not include NRA credentialing registration fees, or credentialing renewal fees. These fees are paid by the candidate directly to the NRA, see below.
NOTE 4: Our fees for all of our courses that have a live fire component will include a two-hour to six-hour session at a local shooting range for the live fire component. The length depends on the particular course requirements. Candidates are responsible for firearms and ammunition. All firearms and ammunition must meet the approval of the HPCC instructors. If a candidate requires additional trips to a shooting range to accomplish course requirements, the candidate will be responsible for any additional range fees. NOTE 5: Our fees do not include credentialing registration fees payable to the NRA to complete a candidate's certification. NRA Trainer Credential Registration Fee Structure:NRA Members will pay $40.00 for the first rating and $20.00 for each additional rating in a 24-month period. Non-NRA Members will pay $175.00 for the first rating and $40.00 for each additional rating in a 24-month period. These fees are usually payable to the NRA every two years to maintain currency. We have asked for clarification from two different agencies in Clark County, NV with no response.
As we currently understand the process to become a CCW Instructor in Clark County, a candidate who is an NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor (PPOHI) is eligible to apply for appointment, along with other requirements imposed by the state and the county.
The progression to complete PPOHI looks like this.
1. Successfully complete NRA Basic Pistol (BP) and score Level 4 on the live fire component. Usually 1 day.
2. We urge all candidates to then successfully complete NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO). Usually 1 day. Call us at 575-985-5555 to discuss why. 3. Successfully complete NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) if you have not completed it within the 24 months prior to completing Pistol Instructor. Usually 1 day.
4. Successfully complete NRA Pistol Instructor (PI). This course has a four-candidates minimum requirement. Usually 1 day.
5. Successfully complete NRA Personal Protection In The Home (PPIH). Usually 1 day.
6. Successfully complete NRA Defensive Pistol (DP). Usually 1 day.
7. Successfully complete NRA Personal Protection In The Home Instructor (PPIHI). This course has a four-candidates minimum requirement. Usually 1 day. Must have completed BIT within the past 24 months.

Students will bring a centerfire pistol, 300 rounds of ammunition, a concealed carry holster, range gear, eye and ear protection, hydration and a concealment garment.
Students should also bring a cooler, lunch, drinks, snacks and whatever else you would require for the day. Lunch each day will be a working lunch to maximize training time.
