Our goal when we travel from our home location in Clovis, NM to offer classes is to do it as affordably as possible for our students. We do not need to make a huge profit when we travel to offer these classes. The more students in a class, the more affordably we can offer these classes. Our requirement each time we do this is to cover our expenses with a little left over for our instructors to get to enjoy each location. Can you still get good BBQ in Tennessee? Keep in mind each class has required student printed materials that adds costs and most classes require live fire range time that usually adds costs. These costs are above the usual travel and lodging costs we always need to cover.
If an organization, or group has enough students, a custom schedule and custom pricing can often be tailored to that organization, or group. Groups can be as few as four candidates for instructor classes and for Chief Range Safety Officer classes. Groups can be as big as you would need. Individual classes and pricing can also be offered.
Each candidate will be required to execute the HPCC release of liability waiver at the beginning of the first day of the first class a candidate has registered for. Executed copies of the waiver will be emailed to each student. Please do not pay any deposits for any classes until contacted by HPCC and the deposit has been requested by HPCC!
We have had candidates in the past pay deposits and/or pay for classes before being asked to pay any fees. On occasion we have had to cancel classes due to not meeting the minimum number of candidates. HPCC ends up having to absorb the on-line payment processing fee for those amounts, and it is extra work to process the returns, so please do not make any payments until HPCC requests payment.
Deposits will be due by the registration cutoff date of each class. HPCC will not collect any deposits until the minimum number of candidates have registered for a class. The balance for all classes a candidate has registered for will be collected at the beginning of the first day of the first class a candidate has registered for.
Refunds will not be offered to candidates who do not show up for, and/or do not attend full classes. While HPCC tries to work with everyone, reschedules are difficult to offer and are not guaranteed. However, HPCC has always offered refunds for the rare occasion when the difficulty is on our end that causes a cancellation, or a reschedule.
HPCC is offering several series of classes starting in late February and going through most of March 2026 in Memphis, Nashville and Knoxville, TN. Classes can also usually be scheduled whenever and wherever needed and can usually be scheduled as early as needed. Call us at 575-985-5555 for custom schedules and custom pricing!

If HPCC does not get a minimum of four students who have registered for and paid the deposit for each class before the registration cutoff date, the classes will be rescheduled to a later date in an effort to attract the minimum number of students. HPCC will coordinate with all students who have registered for a class to attempt to come up with mutually agreeable new dates.
Candidates are urged to bring lunch, drinks, snacks and a cooler each day. Lunch each day will be a working lunch to maximize class time productivity. Remember, we will all need to make at least one trip, or more to a firing range to complete the live fire requirements. Those days can go through dinnertime. Unless you are bringing your mother with you to class, we will all be responsible for cleaning up the classrooms after ourselves.
